1. price and calculation basis

1.1 The calculation is based on the handwritten or typewritten text line (point 3.1,3.2) or document data stored on digital media (point 3.3) broken down into characters and words.

1.2 A flat rate (item: 1.3) will be charged for documents with less than 10 lines per page.

1.3 Based on this document the following prices are valid:
1.50 Euro / (edited*) line of text or
15.00 Euro** flat rate / (proofread*) text page (point 1.2 )

2. volume

2.1 - (Proofread) translation
- Preparation of an initial version as a printout or stored on digital media as described under (point 3.3 )
- Incorporation of any corrections
- Final version as printout or stored on digital media as under (point 3.3 )

3. accepted media

3.1 Handwritten text
- Legible (preferably in block letters)
- Horizontal linear lines
- Minimum character height 5mm (approximately 1/16 inch)
- Maximum line length 20cm (approximately 8 inches)

3.2 Typewritten text
- Horizontal linear lines
- Minimum character height 5mm (about 1/16 inch)
- Maximum line length 20cm (approximately 8 inches)

3.3 Text stored on digital media
- In the formats: MS WORD / POWER POINT / EXCEL / PUBLISHER or ASCII text stored on virus-free media such as:
1.44 MB DOS formatted 3-½ inch floppy disk, CD-ROM, DVD+/-RW ROM, USB flash memory sticks or files transmitted to us by email.
- One line of text is calculated as follows:
(total number of characters*** + total number of words) / 50.

***Spaces, tabs, carriage returns, line or page breaks are not calculated as characters.

3.4 Media formats that deviate from the media formats described in points 3.1-3.3 (word processing system, graphics ...) will only be accepted with prior agreement.

4 Terms of sale and delivery

4.1 Our GTCs (GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS) shall apply.
